Architectural Review Committee
The Architectural Review Committee is established to review all applicable development plans for compliance with the design standards of the city. This committee functions as a subcommittee of the Planning Commission and consists of seven members appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council.

The Board of Adjustment is made up of residents who are appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council with varied professional and vocational backgrounds.

The Disaster Preparedness Committee is made up of residents who are appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council to address preparation efforts and volunteer coordination related to larger scale natural disasters and similar emergency events that will involve the participation of City residents and businesses.

The Parks Advisory Committee is made up of residents who are appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council with the charge of acting as an advisory body to the City Council regarding parks, trails, programs, and related facilities.

The Syracuse Arts Council is made up of residents who are appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council with the assignment of promoting culture and activities encouraging interaction among citizens in service and social events that unify residents and encourage pride in the City.
